1. Who we are
Drive Finder Malaysia (the “Service”) is a concierge matchmaking service operated by Uniq Labs Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore (“we”, “us”). We help learners in Malaysia find JPJ-licensed driving schools (institut memandu) with seats available for their state and licence class.
2. What we deliver
For the fee of RM 39 (the “Standard Fee”), we contact JPJ-licensed driving schools matching your state, district preference and licence class, and aim to match you with one that has confirmed availability for your timeline, within 7 days of your request.
“Delivery” means we send you the matched school's details (name, contact number, address, and current price quote) by email or WhatsApp, with confirmation that we have personally verified the school's availability.
3. How payment works
Payment is collected via DuitNow (preferred) or Stripe (card). DuitNow is free for both parties. Stripe places a temporary authorisation hold on your card when we send the payment link, but no money moves until we have delivered the match. If we cannot deliver, the hold is voided and you are not charged.
If we cannot find a school with seats within 7 days, you will not be charged.
4. Non-refundable once delivered
Once we have delivered the match per Section 2, the Fee is considered earned and is
non-refundable. This includes cases where:
- You change your mind or decide not to proceed with enrolment;
- You are unable to reach the school after we provide their contact details;
- The school becomes unresponsive or unavailable after we verify availability;
- You fail your driving test, or take longer than expected to pass.
If you genuinely feel we have materially failed to deliver as promised (wrong state, wrong class), reach out within 7 days of receiving your match and we will run a second round at no extra cost.
5. We are not a driving school
We are a matchmaking and admin service. We do not provide driving lessons, conduct tests, or issue licences. All instruction and testing is conducted directly between you and the matched school and JPJ. We make no representation or warranty about a school's teaching quality, instructor availability, pass rates, pricing, or any other outcome once we have completed the match. Schools listed are sourced from the publicly-published JPJ register.
6. School relationship
Schools matched through our service are independent businesses. They are not our employees, agents, or contractors. We do not receive commissions or kickbacks from schools. Any dispute regarding lessons, payment to the school, or instructor conduct should be raised directly with the school or with JPJ.
7. Your obligations
You agree to provide accurate information in your request. You agree not to use our service to harass schools or submit fraudulent requests. We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the total fees you have paid us. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore (the location of the operating entity). Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Singapore. This does not affect statutory rights you may have under the Malaysian Consumer Protection Act 1999.
